Welping organises labour practices for sales and operations staff in front-line hot-melt butt welder factories.
Welping, as a large company with its own factory, has the ability to independently research and develop its own welding equipment, and its employees are divided into sales, operations, research and development staff, workers, and so on.
The staff, some of whom are based in the office and some in the factory, have their own roles to play, enabling the company to function in an organised manner. Although sales and operations staff also occasionally travel to the factory to take videos and photos and actually work on the butt welders, the company has decided to have each office worker travel to the factory twice a month to participate in labour practices in order to give these normally office-based employees a better understanding of the company's products and the complete transaction process.
Employees who usually work in the office are divided into groups of 2 and drive more than an hour to the factory to follow the arrangement of the factory staff and participate in some lifting or packing work.
Outside of work, videos of products in the factory are also filmed and posted on social media for promotional purposes. Some salesmen also work on the factory's computers when they have business, and this is understood and tolerated by the factory personnel.
This mode of practice not only allowed the office staff to gain a deeper understanding of the products and the transaction process, but also experienced the hard work of physical labour and deepened the friendship between the factory and office staff.
